New Beginnings
October 6th, 2018 - 7:30 pm / Pablo Center at the Confluence

The opening concert for CVSO's 44th Season: A Confluence of Artists. This concert features selections from Leonard Bernstein & George Gershwin. In addition to Special Guest Artist Rachel Barton Pine, the Symphony will also be joined by members of the UWEC Opera Workshop for a piece from "Candide."




2018 Friends of the Symphony Christmas Stroll
November 17th, 2018 - 1:00 - 5:00 pm

Ticket holders tour 5 to 6 decorated homes, listen to CVSO musicians perform and enjoy cookies, coffee and great conversation.

A joint holiday performance with the Chippewa Valley Jazz Orchestra. This holiday concert features classic and updated versions of holiday favorites, including multiple selections from Tchaikovsky's "The Nutcracker."

We will be accepting donations of Winter Clothing items at the door for each performance of Let's Go Nut(s)cracker! The first 100 people to donate at each performance will receive a commemorative holiday ornament. 
Suggested donations: Coats, Hats, Mittens, Gloves, Scarves, Feminine Hygiene Products, Long Underwear, etc.



Kristo Orthodontics Young Artist Competition

University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, Gantner Hall

Cheer on our young artists in this exciting competition!  The winner will receive a cash prize and the honor of playing with the CVSO!  This event is free and open to the public - no ticket required!


Our Legacy!: From the Grand Opera House to Pablo Center at the Confluence
February 2nd, 2019 - 2:00 pm / Pablo Center at the Confluence
In the late 19th & early 20th Centuries, the Eau Claire Symphony performed in the Grand Opera House, still a part of Downtown Eau Claire. This concert features selections originally played by the Eau Claire Symphony, a performance by the 30th Annual Young Artist's Competition winner, and we will be joined by the Chippewa Valley Youth Symphony truly carrying our legacy into Eau Claire's future. We are especially excited for our annual Youth Art Exhibit in the new Graham Avenue Gallery at the Pablo Center.
                                               
Marching Through March
March 2nd, 2019 - 7:30 pm / Pablo Center at the Confluence

With favorites from Victor Herbert, Antonio Dvorák, Felix Mendelssohn, and many more, this collection of marches has favorites everyone knows, as well as a few surprises. The Symphony Orchestra will also be joined by Mark Kosower, renowned cellist.


In Dynamic Company
May 18th, 2019 - 7:30 pm / Pablo Center at the Confluence

A concert for the ages! This concert begins with selections from Beethoven and Tchaikovsky and culminates with a full performance of Carl Orff's masterpiece "Carmina Burana," with guest soloists and a full choir formed by members of the Chippewa Valley. This concert is the finale of the Symphony Orchestra's 44th season, A Confluence of Artists.
