The Chippewa Valley Symphony Orchestra tours local elementary schools in January in this educational outreach program. Musicians of the CVSO educate students on the classical aspect of music, as well as introduce the youth to traditional instruments one would find in a symphonic setting.

These educational outreach efforts are in conjunction with the youth concert where the Kristo Orthodontics Competition winner performs and the CVSO collaborates with the Chippewa Valley Youth Symphony.

To further encourage the students to explore classical music each elementary student who participates in the outreach program receives a voucher to attend the youth symphony with an adult for free.
“The elementary visits are a wonderful opportunity for the CVSO musicians to give back to the community, the students are fantastic and have insightful questions about music and about what it's like to be a part of an orchestra.”
