I used four frames in a sequential format to tell a story, or better said, to paint a poem. Frame one represents the upper Eau Claire River. A flutist is practicing, absorbing the beauty. In frame two, a man with a horn is warming up by the confluence of the Eau Claire and Chippewa Rivers. In the third frame, Symphony members have gathered on a footbridge and are walking toward, perhaps, the State Theater, or the University or maybe even the new Confluence Center. In the final frame the Symphony is performing. A beautiful valley (based on a local view) floats behind them and is a homage to the Symphony poster of 25 years ago. I visually “orchestrated” the four “movements”, considering connections and rhythms.
